Marsh Infant and Nursery School

Parking

PARKING

Roads and pavements around schools are usually very busy and hazardous during peak travel times.  The roads around our school can be especially tricky due to the bus stops, roundabout and traffic calming.  The road also serves as a cut through to avoid the London Road and drivers are often rushing.

Please help us to keep our local community as safe as possible by either walking to school or using the free car park at the retail centre, which is only a short walk away.

We aim to keep the local environment as safe and pleasant as we can for our children and the local community.  We want our families to be able to enjoy walking to school safely.  To support us with this, please avoid the following:

  • Parking in the staff car park
  • Obstructing driveways of local residents
  • Parking in the loading bay for Wickes and Pets at Home – this is extremely dangerous!
  • Parking near the roundabout
  • Parking on zigzag road markings, the bus stops or double yellow lines.
  • Parking near the traffic calming areas of Wrights Meadow Road

The roads around the school are frequently monitored by traffic enforcement officers and fines are issued.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
