Music

At Marsh School, it is our intent that all children enjoy broad and balanced musical learning that is imaginative, inspiring and fun. Music is at the heart of our school and we believe that it plays an integral role in helping children to feel part of a community. All children have opportunities to create, play, perform and enjoy music both in class and to an audience. Children are able to showcase their learning and joy of music through assemblies, performances to classmates and during continuous provision. Music lessons enable children to gain a firm understanding of what music is through listening, singing, playing, evaluating and composing across a wide variety of historical periods, styles, traditions and musical genres.
