Art and Design

Art and Design is a fantastic way to stimulate creativity, exploration and imagination for all children. It can enable children to communicate what they see, feel and think and is embedded into all areas of the curriculum wherever possible. At Marsh, we aim to ensure that all pupils have rich opportunities to explore, develop and create and to record their experiences in creative ways. Children are taught techniques that enable them to become proficient in communicating their ideas through drawing, painting, sculpture and recycled materials. The works of artists, craft makers and designers will be explored and evaluated to help inspire the children’s ideas. They will be encouraged to work on individual ideas as well as collaborating with others; following guidance when needed.
